Yeah it's been a while I know. Guess what? Rachelle and I got a puppy on Saturday! It's a mix of a Papillon and a mini Poodle. A coworker of Rachelles got this puppy's brother first and brought him to school for everyone to oogle. I think I'm having second thoughts on this whole puppy thing. It sounded like a great idea at the time and Rachelle has been wanting a dog for a long while now. It is a lot of work though. Perhaps it would have been better to get one slightly older and more trained. Maybe I'm just impatient or not used to it yet. I'm not to fond of getting up at 1:30am to let him out and it looks like I'm going to have to get up at like 4:30 also. He hasn't been able to hold it till 5:30 when Rachelle gets up. Perhaps that problem is simply him being uncomfortable in his crate. They guy in the pet store said to just put him in there with nothing else until he is trained. Other people I've talked to say to put a blanket or something soft in there for him to snuggle with. I guess we'll try that. Hopefully he can make some major strides during the two weeks Rachelle and I are off from work because he is not going to like being in that crate all day while we are at work and then again at night. Maybe by then he can just hang out in some other area of the house. We were thinking about the kitchen, but it's very cold in there. Even when the heat is overridden to 68° the kitchen floor is cold. Maybe we can stick him in the bathroom upstairs (the downstairs bathroom has carpet). We'll have to see.

Jason and I are both AWESOME! We baked chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies from scratch last night. Rachelle didn't think it was possible for us to make them and have them come out decent. The only odd thing is that the recipe said we were supposed to get 5 dozen cookies. We only got like 3. Oh well. They're still tasty!
