So today was Halloween and it was kind of disappointing. The weather was crappy and I felt like I was walking around in a fog all day.

Last week we bought candy at Target and went completely overboard despite consciously trying not to. I still don't understand how that happened. We didn't get many trick-or-treaters last year so we knew we didn't need a ton of candy. Somehow we still came home with a ton and a half.

We bought a couple pumpkins from a local farm a few days ago and decided to carve them this afternoon. We got a carving kit at Target while we were candy shopping that had some neat stencils in.

Tonight we had to answer the door only about a dozen times. Sure there were multiple kids each time, but it wasn't a very stellar turn out. Toward the end of the night I was giving out handfuls of candy to each kid. We still have way too much left over.

There was nothing Halloween related on TV at all tonight, it's a total bummer. I expected something like a Friday the 13th marathon or at least to show the movie Halloween. The only thing even remotely scary was the original Night of the Living Dead, which wasn't very scary. We ended up watching I didn't know I was Pregnant, that was by far the scariest show on.

I had an email from Moonlight Creamery this morning saying they'll give you a free ice cream cone if you bring in 6 fun-size or larger pieces of candy! You know they're just going to smash the candy up and use it for toppings. I wonder if they can do that from a department of health standpoint...

Sounds like a sweet way to get rid of some candy.
We only had to answer the door twice. For a grand total of maybe 10 trick-or-treaters. There was this really adorable one who was maybe 2. She was all "And me!" We give out at least two candy bars since we get so few kids but they wouldn't fit in her hand. She didn't quite understand that the bag is for the candy.
Very adorable.

I bought whistles and fangs and put the bowl out on the porch...Our house was a Halloween candy free zone and it didnt even get egged or toliet papered...I too watched a little IDKIWP when I came home for the night. God I love that show...I hope to one day know someone who "literally had a baby in her pants"

You went candy shopping with a pregnant woman. that explains the candy overage. Hulu has some pretty good horror flicks on it, such as the Puppet Master
